It is my honor to have served the people of California for almost 12 years as a Senior Deputy District Attorney. I have dedicated myself to the protection and welfare of children by serving as a board member of the local Boys and Girls Club, and have volunteered my evenings to speak to parents and educators about how to protect our children from internet predators. I care about our county because this is the community in which I was both born and raised, and am raising my own two children.
As an attorney I have successfully prosecuted thousands of cases including attempted murder, domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assualt. I also have served as District Attorney Representative in the County's Treatment Courts, in which counseling and strict monitoring are used to help drug addicts and the mentally ill. I serve on the County's Drug Court Core Committee, as well as the Santa Barbara County Methamphetamine Prevention Commission.
For the last four years I have handled the Sexually Violent Predator commitment cases for northern Santa Barbara County. I also helped start the county's Workers Compensation Insurance Fraud Unit three years ago. Finally, I began the Santa Barbara County Rural Crime Taskforce with a grant from the State of California.
My wife Michelle and I have two children ages five and six. I spend my free time coaching their soccer and little league baseball teams. I currently serve as the President of the Bar Association for Northern Santa Barbara County.

I believe that every person that walks into court, whether they be a defendant, a victim, a police officer, or a private party should be treated with respect and courtesy. I shall treat every individual fairly and impartially, for I know that the court belongs to the community in which I live and serve.
